Privacy Policy
App Name: SnapeGo
Effective Date:
This Privacy Policy explains how SnapeGo (“we”, “our”, “the app”) collects, uses, and protects information when you:
- take photos inside the app,
- add (print) your location onto the photo,
- use the compass/direction feature, and
- share the generated image.
1) Information We Collect
- Camera / Photos: SnapeGo uses your device camera to capture images. Photos are created on your device.
- Location Data (GPS): If you allow location permission, SnapeGo can read your location (latitude/longitude) to display and “stamp” it on the photo and to support direction features.
- Device Sensors (Compass): SnapeGo may access motion/orientation sensors (magnetometer/gyroscope) to show compass direction and heading.
- Optional: Gallery Access / Storage: If you choose to save images to your device gallery, SnapeGo may request storage/media library permissions (platform dependent).
2) How We Use Your Information
- To let you capture a photo and preview it inside SnapeGo.
- To display and print your location (e.g., city name, coordinates) onto the captured photo if you enable location.
- To provide compass and direction features using device sensors.
- To allow you to save or share the generated image using your device’s share options.
3) Data Storage & Processing
- On-device by default: Photos and location stamps are generated on your device.
- We do not sell your data.
- No account required (if applicable): SnapeGo does not require you to create an account unless stated otherwise.
4) Sharing
When you use the share feature, SnapeGo uses your device’s native sharing tools. You choose where to share (e.g., WhatsApp, Instagram, email). Any information printed on the image (including location) will be shared along with the photo if you share it.
5) Permissions Explained
- Camera Permission: Needed to take photos in the app.
- Location Permission: Needed to fetch your location for stamping it on photos and for direction features.
- Motion/Sensor Access: Needed to show compass direction/heading.
- Storage/Photos Permission (optional): Needed only if you save images to your gallery.
6) Location & Safety Note
Location data can be sensitive. SnapeGo gives you control over whether location is used. If you enable location stamping, your photo may contain identifiable location information. Please review the stamped details before sharing.
7) Third-Party Services
If SnapeGo uses third-party SDKs (such as analytics, crash reporting, ads, or maps), those providers may collect information as described in their own policies. If you use any third-party services, list them here:
- Example: Google Maps (if used)
- Example: Firebase Analytics / Crashlytics (if used)
If you don’t use any, you can remove this section.
8) Children’s Privacy

9) Data Retention
Photos and stamped images are stored on your device as per your actions (e.g., if you save them). SnapeGo does not retain your photos or location on our servers unless explicitly stated.
10) Your Choices
- You can deny or revoke camera/location permissions in your device settings.
- You can choose not to save images to your gallery.
- You can delete saved images from your device at any time.
11) Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please use SnapeGo and sharing features responsibly.
